The Hytera SC580 is a lightweight, compact and smart body-worn camera that is an ideal choice for law enforcement and security agencies. It delivers outstanding image and sound quality, enables real-time video streaming over 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, while protecting recorded content with advanced AES256 encryption. Its dual-camera design, long battery life, night vision and image stabilisation on the move make it a reliable tool for field work, while the Push-to-Talk function and pre-event recording make it even more efficient to use.

Hytera SC580 smart 4G body camera captures high quality videos, audios, and photos and stores them securely. When the situation requires it, the body camera can transmit and livestream video from the field to the command center over cellular network or WLAN.

With light weight, this pocket-sized body camera stands with a height of 91 mm, a width of 55 mm, and a depth of 29 mm, allowing officers to comfortably hold it in their hands or wear it on the uniform all day long without much burden. Its thin body comes with a powerful battery, which lasts longer than regular work shifts.

See Through the Darkness

The main difference between the Hytera SC580 body camera models, Starlight and Infrared, lies in the image processing technology they use and their intended application areas.

1. Starlight version:

   • Image quality in low light conditions: The Starlight technology applies image processing that allows for clear and detailed images even in low-light conditions, including near darkness.

   • Color images in low light: The Starlight camera can capture color images even in low-light conditions, as it is more sensitive to light, making it ideal for outdoor use when the lighting is insufficient but color details are still important.

2. Infrared (IR) version:

   • Night vision capability: The Infrared camera uses infrared (IR) light for visibility in the dark. The images appear in black and white since infrared light doesn't provide color, but it allows for clear image capture in complete darkness.

   • Suitable for use in total darkness: The IR technology is beneficial in environments with no external light sources (e.g., night-time patrolling), where visibility is limited.

Key differences:

• Image color: Starlight technology produces color images in low-light conditions, while the Infrared camera captures black-and-white images in total darkness.

• Use case: Starlight is ideal for working in low but visible light conditions, while Infrared cameras can be used in complete darkness but provide only black-and-white images.

Based on these differences, you can choose the right model depending on the environment and lighting conditions where the body camera will be used.

Push-to-Talk
With the Hytera PTToC application, the body camera works multipurpose as a PoC radio and enables officers to instantly communicate across the team with a single push on the PTT button.
